STEPS TO SALVATION

IBELIEVE

GOD reaches out in love to you

and wants you to be HIS child.

Regardless of what others say about you, Jesus loves you deeply and He hurts when you hurt.

Your journey may be more difficult than you thought and more lonely than it should be but you are not alone.

Your past doesn’t have to define your future… God gives second chances.

Even when people turn their back on you, God will never leave you.

Your life does have a purpose and you are significant.

The problem is that we all have sinned and that separates us from God.

“For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.”

The Bible says that “The wages of sin is death”.

But the good news is that God made a way.

God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.

He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.

“God Demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”

Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father.

He offers us the gift of eternal life —

of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior.

God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child.

IREAD

(A) Admit you have sinned

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Matthew 4:17  From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

*Confession is void without repentance. To repent is to ‘change one’s mind’ or to turn — to go in another direction.

(B) Believe On Jesus Christ and

His finished work on the cross

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him believe on the Name of His Son Jesus Christ might be saved.”

Mark 1:15… Repent, and believe in the gospel.

Acts 16:31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

1 John 3:23 And this is His commandment: that we should and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

(C) Confess Christ

Romans 10:9-10 … if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 1: 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

*These abc’s are the most crucial not just to learn, but to follow because no one knows how long we have on this earth. Our eternal life hinges upon receiving these truths. Don’t wait! Say yes to Jesus Christ right now.

2 Corinthians 6:2b “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

ISAY

If after hearing the Gospel in part 1 of iBelieve and heard God speaking through the Holy Scriptures in iRead, you likely feel the Spirit calling you to something more personal, relationship. If this is you, you’re ready for iSay. iSay is a prayer of repentance of your sins, asking God for forgiveness and proclaiming your belief in the life, death, and saving resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:9-10 says that “if you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” The prayer that we are about to pray does not save you, your faith in Christ as the only Lord of your life, His Gospel, His forgiveness of sins, and His resurrecting power is what saves.

The Sinner's Prayer

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I cannot save myself from my sins, nor can anyone or anything else. I realize that the penalty for sin is death. Thank you Lord, for shedding Your blood on the cross in my place so that I may receive Your righteousness by faith.  Patiently you have knocked on the door of my heart and today, by faith, I receive your gift of salvation. I trust you and you alone as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your birth, your death and your resurrection. I believe you are the way, the truth and the Life. I believe you are the light of the world. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. I repent now for my many sins and thank you for bearing them all. I surrender my life Your Lordship, Jesus Christ. I ask that you be my Savior and fill me with your Holy Spirit Lord Jesus. By your grace, I will share what you have done in me with others. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer in sincere faith, write this date down in your Bible or as an anniversary reminder in your phone as coming to Christ in faith and trusting Him as your Lord and Savior is certainly the greatest decision you have ever made. Saving faith produces a changed life

(2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold,

all things have become new).

Your Growth Point family rejoices and heaven is rejoicing with you!

Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
