MARIO J. RADFORD
LEAD PASTOR
Mario J. Radford is a Kentucky native renowned for his musical gifts and leadership in ministry. Since the age of 15, he has faithfully served in various roles within music ministry, with his work featured on platforms such as Tri-State Christian Television, The Word Network, the Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses.

A multifaceted leader—musician, speaker, podcast host, author, actor, pastor, and insurance professional—Mario is known for being intentionally relational, transparently truthful, purposefully evolving, and passionately humorous in his approach to leadership and life.
​
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Kentucky State University, where he served as Musical Director of the Gospel Ensemble and now contributes as Director of Choirs. He also earned a Master’s degree in Bible and Theological Foundations from Asbury Theological Seminary.
​
In 2015, Mario founded Growth Point Church in Lexington, Kentucky, where he serves as Founder and Lead Pastor. Under his leadership, the church continues to grow through thriving internal ministries and impactful community outreach initiatives. In addition to his pastoral work, he serves as CEO of Mario J. Radford & Co., a platform dedicated to helping individuals discover and embrace their unique design and purpose.

Mario is also a member and Vice President of the Alpha Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
His music and written works are available on major digital platforms, and he continues to use his gifts to inspire, empower, and serve communities both locally and nationally.

Mario and his wife, Melody, are the proud parents of three children and reside in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
MELODY RADFORD
FIRST LADY
Melody Radford is a native Kentuckian with a passion for empowering others to live with purpose and make a meaningful difference in their communities. For more than 19 years, she has faithfully served alongside her husband, Pastor Mario J. Radford, in both life and ministry. Together, they are the proud parents of three children and are now enjoying the blessing of their growing family, including their grandson.

Growth Point Church was founded in 2015 with a vision to cultivate spiritual growth, restoration, and authentic community. Since its inception, Melody has helped shape a culture marked by compassion, intentional care, and genuine connection—ensuring that individuals feel supported and spiritually strengthened.
​
Melody holds an Associate’s degree in Social Science from Copiah-Lincoln Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Kentucky State University, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from Midway University. Her professional experience in behavioral health and specialty courts, combined with her commitment to ministry, uniquely positions her to support individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges.

She is deeply committed to seeing lives restored and strengthened—spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Melody believes lasting transformation begins when people are given the space and support to heal, grow, and embrace their God-given identity.
